ABOUT THE COMPANY

The Independent Power Transmission Operator S.A. (IPTO or ADMIE) is responsible for the management, operation, maintenance, and development of the Hellenic Electricity Transmission System and its interconnections. After its privatisation in 2015, and since its full ownership unbundling, IPTO began the rollout of its strategic investment plan, valued at €4 billion on a cumulative total until 2027. IPTO plays a key role in Greece’s energy transition through interconnection projects between the Greek islands and the mainland electricity grid, along with interconnections with neighbouring countries. Currently, IPTO is undertaking the most important power transmission project in the history of Greece, the Crete-Attica Interconnection.
