Posidonia Exhibitions SA is a leading organiser of trade fairs in Greece, which operates through its headquarters in Piraeus, and specialises in trade fairs dedicated to the international maritime and sea tourism industries.
The company organises Posidonia, the international shipping exhibition, which for over 50 years has been established as one of the major calendar events of the shipping industry and attracts leading personalities from the Greek and international maritime communities, as well as heads of state and shipping ministers. Posidonia participants include over 2,000 companies from more than 90 countries, with the event generating some €60 million for the local economy.
Launched more recently, the Posidonia Sea Tourism Forum is an international conference and exhibition focused on the sea tourism sector, and a leading business platform for global cruising and yachting industry decision makers.
While the shipping industry will have to wait until 2022 for its touted biannual expo and conference, the organiser of Greece’s Posidonia Exhibition is delving into the digital world, says Theodore Vokos Managing Director of Posidonia Exhibitions, yet stands by the added value of physical events and safeguarding the return of a multi-billion euro global industry.
